We are begining to wake up

a smell not the coffee but the rotten eggs.

The sleaze in con-artist-heaven, Washington D.C., is beginning to become so obvious and so foul smelling that only the die-hard conservatives are willing to hang on as the mortally wounded "ship of state" begins the closing phases of its demise. But then, based on their behavior, most of those still on board must be either atheists or secret believers in The Rapture. ²

All it's going to take is two or three more key insiders to jump ship and tell the truth and the "Ship of Sleaze" will sink. Humpy (false-born-again-George) Dumpy will finally fall off the wall.
